About me

Growing up in a small home it was always busy. Sometimes I longed for quiet. Time in nature was magical… The space, the freedom!

Hours spent connecting with the natural world and seeing the colours, details, the changing quality of light and also the majesty of the night sky. I loved to play and dance, to take precious moments and space to twirl and move and be free, to express myself within my body and to move to music and rhythm. To sing, to laugh and to enjoy life, to be in joy. These moments had to be carved out as I wanted to take up space, to be louder and bigger and this was hard with the needs of others. Growing up I learnt to be quieter, to be more still and to fit into the environment. What I didn’t realise until later was how much I had compromised my own voice, my own body and energy field by doing so.

I loved science and I always wanted to know how things worked, I wasn’t interested in fiction and made up stories, I couldn’t see the point. It was much later as a young adult that I opened up to the possibility of energy, to our subtler senses and to connecting and learning in more than one way. I realised this had been there all along but my rational mind and love of science had been stronger. I had to feel things for myself first hand, to have a direct experience. Through travel, adventure, books, connections with lots of different people and new experiences I remembered this innate intuitive quality, this deeper awareness and sensing that had always been there. I learnt to tune my senses, to open to, and trust, my inner knowing and to trust the flow of life itself. Sure, there were challenges and times of hardship and crisis and fear but these actually took me even closer to this knowing, to this connection and ultimately to finding this silence and stillness within myself.

At times I created a life with long periods of isolation, craving the silence and stillness both outside and within me. It turns out there is another way, I found that isolation was not the answer, but integrating the stillness and being in relationship and connection with others. That I could carry the stillness with me, I could discern the people and places with which I wanted to spend time and energy. My biggest learning for life was when the life journey was the most full and busy, when demands were at their highest. It became absolutely necessary to utilise the moments of space, the gaps in the chaos and to sink in as quickly as deeply as I could to the sanctuary and the spaciousness within me. I repeated this again and again and got very skilled at maximising these mini pauses that life offers. Through this I found my practices, my stillness and ultimately my work and life offering to the world.

Stillness isn’t even a breath away, it is right there ready to meet us when we pause to notice. Life is always supporting us when we sink into this holding. This provides moments to balance and find ourselves again and allows for harmony and the resonance that shows us the way. We know what is the best way, we feel it. We sense when something is off and when adjustment is needed. And with the vital ingredient of compassion, of true self love, knowing how much we matter in this world, we make powerful and positive choices and steps towards ourselves, towards sustaining connection and towards a life well lived. Honouring and embracing the magic and the beauty of simple everyday moments, we befriend and we flow with life as it is. No longer striving and reaching but arriving more and more fully in each moment and in each step, trusting this is the journey, this is the way.

And it turns out stories are invaluable. To experience through story is to be touched by the beauty, the pain, the journey and the experience and wisdom of others. To feel and sense into imagery, characters, myths and legends that reawaken something in us is like gold, it is alchemical. This is a piece of my story I share with you. I look forward to witnessing and sharing in your story too if you choose.

  • I have been developing and growing my holistic practice since 2005. Each therapeutic modality I studied enhanced my own life and well-being and brought a greater repertoire of techniques to my practice. The combination of skills is quite unique and is truly holistic, providing a multitude of ways to rebalance and heal (bring into wholeness) on every level.

To be of greatest service and support, and to work and clear at the deeper root cause, it became necessary to organically weave modalities together and draw upon my wider skill mix for each session. This evolved into Sacred Journeys. My passion for health and well-being keeps me learning and growing and bringing together my love of science and sensitivity of intuition. I aim to provide accessible techniques so that we can each live our fullest potential.  A life of deep joy and contentment with the strength and clarity to follow our own inner wisdom.

  • How many of us look outside ourselves... for answers, validation, healing, fulfilment or contentment?

My journey takes me more and more inwards and reminds me that within is a place of pure being, of complete serenity. That this gracious, steady, constant is beyond outer circumstances. That all that we seek, and all that we need, is within us and within our reach in every moment.  It can take practice to return there because we get so used to distractions but it is as simple as breathing and reconnects us to our purest essence and light.

  • Sacred Journeys invites you on this inner journey, to the centre of your being. It reminds you of the way and invites you to access your own inner wisdom and inner knowing that is at the heart of yourself.  From this naturally compassionate and accepting place healing radiates and it is possible to embrace both our humanity and our divinity and integrate the whole of ourselves.  Then we can increasingly experience oneness and connection to all things and find balance, resonance and harmony.
