Yoga & Meditation
I believe yoga is for every body and everyone. I teach a heart centred and accessible form of embodied yoga and meditation suitable for all.
Creating a supportive environment in which it’s safe to explore, experience and embrace all that’s present in the body, mind, heart and energy flow is fundamental to my sessions both online and in person in Brockenhurst, Sway and the New Forest area.
With kindness, compassion and curiosity there is much wisdom and healing that we can access. When rooted and grounded we can deepen into a state of presence and expand our consciousness and awareness, allowing us to sense, feel and listen for ourselves and learn to trust our own growing connection, guidance and flow.
Yoga knows everything and everyone to be flowing with the same vibration of energy. Its essence is pure love. Utilising a combination of practices – breath, movement, mantra, sound, stillness, intention, affirmations, deep relaxation, meditation, mudras, reflection and deep restoration – all sessions are gently guided to give the most heart centred and accessible teaching in that moment, whilst encouraging you to trust your own guidance above all else.
Learning to listen inwardly and develop lightness of heart encourages us to go with the flow of life, responding in the present moment, and reminds us of the spirit and radiant light within each and every one of us.
It isn't just what happens on the mat or in a class, although that is a great place to start, it’s about living, breathing and surrendering in everyday life and we take the wisdom from the experiences out into the world.
About Heart Meditation
Be guided to rest into greater stillness of mind and peace of heart whilst being grounded and rooted within. From this peaceful, vibrant centre you can expand from the heart into the field of awareness, sinking into the pause… witnessing the blissful joy that naturally arises. Return home to your own light and essence within. Experience your inner radiant smile and open to the peace and healing of the heart.
About Sound into Silence
For those seeking another way into deep rest and relaxation I combine the beautiful use of sound to bring greater harmony, resonance and alignment so that the mind can rest more fully into the softening body and quieting nervous system.

Sequences of asana (postures) and pranayama (breath) are combined in a flowing style that encourages breath with movement and becomes a moving meditation. All sessions open and close by coming into stillness and getting fully into the present. These accessible presencing and meditation (dhyana) practices develop our ability to direct awareness out of the mind, into the body and into the heart. Yoga philosophy is gently woven into sessions for a more complete yogic practice to support in everyday life. My appreciation and love of traditional chanting, sacred songs, or songs of the heart, can also be included.
Deeply restorative and yoga nidra (yogic sleep) sessions are available to release stress and tension, to fully relax and bring relief to the body, mind and nervous system and rejuvenate and restore from within.
With my physiotherapy background I can support and encourage students navigating injuries or ongoing physical conditions so that they feel safe, confident and empowered both in class and in their lives. I can also guide and inspire you to build confidence to develop your own practice to support you in your daily life.
Seasonal retreat days in Brockenhurst allow us to immerse more deeply into our practice and come together in community to build local connections and friendship. These will be updated and added on the events page.

Yoga has been, and continues to be, a great companion and teacher in my life. I particularly appreciate that we can directly experience in our own unique way without judgement or expectations. We can develop our own true connection and relationship to the essence within, the light and presence of love in all hearts. This allows the teachings from this ancient science and art to be open and available to everyone no matter their experience, beliefs, faiths and outlook on life.
Graduating as a Heart Of Living Yoga teacher and Heart Minister beautifully and profoundly deepened my connection, practice and my way of teaching and guiding. I am still learning, growing and deepening in my own practice and integrating more and more into my own life.

The Heart Of Living Yoga Foundation with Rev. Padma Devi has been my training ground for Heart Meditation, Yoga Teacher Training and Heart Ministry. This organisation, and all those involved, are dedicated to sharing the presence and light of the heart and reminding us of the peace within, uniting us as one human family, celebrating unity in diversity. We honour the divine light within all hearts and act with compassion, honesty, integrity and love to inspire and enable each of us to shine.
